Flaherty Legal Group welcomed the talented and versatile attorney Misty Simmons to the firm in 2024. Attorney Simmons brings with her over a decade of experience at family law firms such as Freed Marcroft and The Hamzy Law Firm.

Misty knew from a young age that she wanted to be a lawyer who helped children and families. With this goal in mind, she worked as a legal secretary and paralegal during her four undergraduate years at Eastern Connecticut State University, and throughout law school. With a diligent work ethic, Misty graduated summa cum laude from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2011.

Attorney Simmons’ passion and experience as an advocate for children allows her to tune in to their perspectives in divorce and custody matters. This compassion and concern help to mitigate adverse impacts on children involved in emotionally charged family law matters.
